Life’s ambiguities, human behavior, love, loss and longing are the subject matter for my artwork. The images mimic tableau photography and collage using a 35mm camera. The narratives/stories evolve through an intense engagement with materials, art history and meaningful content. The staged objects create a mood, a feeling of expectation that something has just happened—or is about to.

My Images are based on tableau photography. I position found-objects like actors on a stage, with a momentary pause in the action. Natural sunlight, 35mm film and colleges complete the set-up. The narratives involve personal and universal experiences, and psychological ambiguity. The resultant photographs appear other worldly with elements of realism that challenges what is real—and what is realistic.
