As a child we are the most creative and free beings, not yet affected by what has become of this ever-evolving world. As we grow older our imagination is at war with day-to-day life, responsibilities, societal standards, and the laws of government and nature. One place is left completely untouched by this raging battle: Dreams, the utmost pure extract of our imagination. Inspired by such states of altered consciousness, Shane and Laurie arrange, design, pose, and manipulate photographic exposures into surreal narratives seemingly taking place between reality and fantasy.
