I love making art. I suppose my work represents my curiosity. I am inspired by things that leave me wondering. I love nature and science and even math. I am drawn to odd combinations of stuff. “Sojourn” with its convergence of divergent imagery and multiple picture planes, is cognitive self-portraiture.

What my art means to me is cognitive and emotional satisfaction. I do think about composition, movement, figure and ground, value and color. Those things are important but, if it didn’t bring me joy I wouldn’t do it. Just about everything I create makes me smile. It gives me satisfaction.
