My pieces reflect my technical training and often include fine carving, detailed metal and wood work, and large, functional-looking components that resemble tools, vehicles, and household objects. Transformed from the mundane to the metaphorical, my sculptures invite viewers to question their assumptions about what an object is capable of, and provoke a personal connection between who is seeing and what is being seen. My works dissolve the line between the literal and the figurative, and use precise craftsmanship merged with multiple layers of meaning to blur the division between the real world and the interpretive world of art.
