The art pieces in this exhibit are from a body of work entitled “Wires”. The unique patterns created by the intersections of overhead trolley power lines, where streets cross and lines merge and diverge, coupled with geometric forms and primary colors is reminiscent of Suprematism and Abstract Expressionism. The tension created by the wires represents the power of the city, while the geometric shapes mimic the city’s building blocks. |
