paperclay, glass, wood-fired 20" x 12" x 12" $850 My current body of work investigates the enigmatic nature of human emotions conveyed through animal form, particularly hares. Embodying an animalistic essence, I use the animal form as a vehicle to project humanistic thoughts and a sense of wonder as humans. Animals give me comfort, insight and a sense of innocence that I want to share. The work conveys an expressive moment of time that captivates the viewer and brings them into the sculptures eloquent world. I hope my work makes people realize that we all have the same human emotions and that connects us, leading to compassion and empathy. |
