My themes represent and investigation of the ordinary. "Pillow Dog" shows a small canine resting on a cushion. The sculpted forms pair the conscious with the inanimate, representing internal feelings and states of mind. In contrast to the cushy pillow, the dog character is not relaxed but alert. The situation is not as comfortable as it appears at first glance. I think of it as different ways to perceive a situation.
