Sarcasm, etc...

stoneware, glaze, underglaze transfer

16" x 17' x 9"

$1,200

A pedestal sculpture consisting of a mass of fragmented parts sandwiched between two thin monoliths.  Using press molded and slip cast parts, they seem to be put under pressure and are squeezing out from their overall form.  This sculpture expresses the tension and stress I experience when sarcasm is used as a means to communicate a complicated emotional idea.  Like the depth of information is condensed into one loaded and brash statement.  Fired to cone 1 oxidation.
