A native Californian, I have worked with clay for more than 35 years and professionally for 20 years.  My goal as an artist is simple: I think the objects that we use or view in our daily lives should be beautiful and meaningful. I strive to integrate function and beauty into my work.  The art accepted in Visions in Clay 2015 is a Raku fired piece.  The body and lid were thrown on my potter’s wheel. The top of the lid and feet of the pot were hand created with a slab of clay and texture added.
