Dandelion Seed

Seeds are vessels of life, not only for the plant growing from the seed, but for the creatures (insects, butterflies, birds, mammals) supported by that seed and plant. I am fascinated by the beauty and intricacies of the magnified seed. I hope to share my appreciation of each seed and its ecological role, by inspiring others to observe more closely and be more aware of connections in nature. Even underappreciated plants, such as dandelions, are full of magic, life and are creature-like in form. I hand-build using terracotta, sometimes with touches of burnished terra sigillata and sgraffito.
