Caught up in the rhythmic flow of making clay coil baskets, I realized how involved and interwoven I, as the artist, was with the piece I was creating.  This realization of the total integration of the artist and her art led to a series of figurative pieces about basket makers.  I created the basket figures with baskets of various shapes and sizes.  The figure is hand built using stoneware clay, glazes and stains.
