My work flows from my subconscious. I explore despair and hope. In “Dry Basin” I explore the feelings associated with going through a prolonged drought and the associated forest fire, which nearly destroyed our home. I also try to convey the beauty that we know existed before, and will exist again, that helped to support us through those difficult times. These are basic qualities of being human, and hopefully are with us throughout our life.
