In "White Dog on Stack," a small dog balancing on a stack of colorful boxes is the physical presentation. Our mirror neurons — a part of our brain that copies or feels empathy with others — can tell us the rest. This is a short story of meeting challenges, of our absurd world, and a representation of the feeling we get from circumstances we find ourselves in. My sculptures are hand built using slabs and coils. I glaze in washes and layers and fire to cone 5. They are suitable for outdoor display in temperate zones.
