Our Lady of the Dome was slab constructed using molds, extruder and hand building techniques. The piece was constructed out of paper clay and fired to cone 1. The finish is acrylic and water color partially covered in wax and buffed to a light sheen. The piece comes from my affinity for architecture and the human form.
