Defiance of Love

My current work is indicative of the trouble and strife of relationships, reflecting the dichotomy of love and hate.  The subtly of the glaze is the fog felt while in our relationships, a mysterious mist that descends upon us.  My sculptures crumble the façades that bind us to a society approved self where we attempt to hide our true selves and feelings.  The pureness of the white porcelain clay, along with the symbolism of the lamb and deer head represents our innocence lost and hidden. The mixed media intertwined within the sculptures is representative of the mementos of our past that we carry with us.
