I like to produce tight, carefully burnished forms and then finish them using atmospheric firing techniques like salt, saggar, and pit firing - without the use of conventional glazes.  These techniques allow for the serendipitous effects of the fire, smoke, and environment.  The result is a unique, organic aesthetic not possible in glaze firing
