The two figures are sitting on the boat with equal weight adjacent to each other to create a sympathetic relationship. They are seriously sympathized with the sense that they have to take the same amount of weight of life on their shoulder. They are the life companions and at the same time, for them, the presence of each other has a significance of past, present, and future.

10,924 kilometers is the distance from my country to here. It is not only physical distance, but also it includes the psychological distance from my birthplace. More than 5.000 kilometers from someone’s birthplace, one’s body circulation system might be changed to certainly different ways. As a result, he or she possibly loses spiritual roots in some way. Living in New York is the biggest journey in my life. At the same time, I was exposed to family tragedy. This left unforgettable scars in my life, and this experience changed me and my work as I started to ponder life and death, self-identity, and the meaning of being human. The memory of my childhood and my inner child came up: its magical power over a little baby, the hope of healing.
