Cede to Seed is a multicultural study of ethnographic symbols regarding remembrance. Inspired by Aboriginal textile motifs, the ceramic vessel becomes a sculptural narrative for the past and present. The work takes part of the rebirth of information as memory objects and enables the source of information to live beyond the physical body. Symbols act as geographical placeholders while also referring to the individual's placement in human history.
