This piece was hand built using molds for the base structures and then hand textured using a variety of techniques. It was fired to cone 04 and finished with thinned acrylic paints. Inspiration for this piece comes from the invention of the moveable type printing press. This single innovation had a profound and lasting impact on the population of Western Europe, and ultimately the world, that is still felt today.
