This piece was inspired by a line drawing I created based on an Indian textile pattern. I made a 3D prototype of the form in clay, created a 3-part plaster mold and slip cast the forms in porcelain. The piece was fired in oxidation in an electric kiln. The sculpture symbolizes the beauty and vigor of the female form and the imagery suggests my love of color and pattern.
