| Life is all about control and chaos, intention and chance, and I like seeing how that comes together in my work. Sometimes I’ll find the discarded remains of a thrown vessel and begin carving it, very diligently, patiently — even lovingly. Other times I’ll make compulsively repetitive gestures with clay, and see where that leads me. At the end of the day, I’m glad we have a way to record these aimless, tender acts of being human. | ||
