In animal and human social groupings, there’s a hierarchy of what’s considered normal. Flinch embodies an individual who is the exception from normal. Being different and misunderstood, I considered the interactions of his peers when placed into a social grouping. This figure exemplifies the cause and effect, the anticipation and expectation of what is in his experience the possibility, that someone will not understand him.
