I have been making art or teaching art for as long as I can remember. As a painter, a jeweler, metal smith, sculptor and ceramist, I like to experiment. Ideas come to me all the time. Clay is my favorite medium .I work primarily in clay to make sculpture , architectural designs, functional sculptural vessels. My work may be serious or whimsical, abstract or figurative, social commentary or objective, but it is always exploring technique and process. I am interested in human condition and celebrating transitional moments. Current studio projects are for public sculpture.

“Alligator Alligator” is a whimsical experiment demonstrating techniques of several forming processes. Arranged with wheel thrown bowls on sand in a confrontation with Alligator Two it becomes a narrative by the viewer, as arranged by the artist. I enjoy experimenting and pushing the perceptions and the process.
