The Dotted Oval Box combines thrown, altered and hand-built sections which are made separately and then assembled. I enjoy altering the thrown form and working in this manner The decoration is a contemporary approach to the majolica of the Italian Renaissance. The gold pattern on the lid is a decal added in an extra firing to further enhance the pot.
