My bas-reliefs are created individually from the live model. Hand-built from a slab of earthenware clay, they are sculpted by employing both the additive and subtractive methods of construction. The pieces are textured, stained and fired to Cone 04 in an electric kiln. Conceptually, I am interested in the female psyche, referencing thoughts, dreams, memories and private moments.
