Artist Statement

Life is organized through a constant give and take process between an environment and the living. This process causes a living body to change, exhibiting evidence of age and time. Through my work I show the beauty in the processes of life that are usually hidden or over shadowed by what may appear to be the healthiest or most attractive state of being. I combine forms that have changed through the processes of aging and time into a composition that may appear grotesque but the viewer must remember that their fate is unavoidable and what happens along the way is as much a part of the journey as being born.
