(Stockton, CA) Delta College will host the Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) Specialty Schools and Programs Fair, Saturday, January 21, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Danner Hall. The Specialty Fair is an opportunity for thousands of SUSD students and their parents to learn about various SUSD Specialty Schools (formerly called magnet schools) and sign up for their preferred school of choice. The event kicks off the SUSD Specialty Schools application period, January 21 - March 31.

The fair features Delta's American Chemistry Society Club Magic Show in the West Forum at 11 a.m., and Stockton Unified Visual and Performing Arts shows throughout the day in the West Forum.

The Specialty Fair also showcases Delta College programs, featuring pathways available for students in specialty schools that point to corresponding Delta programs. Delta College opportunities for current high school students will also be presented.  For example, a student at Pacific Law Academy would likely be interested in Delta’s Pathway to Law Program.

During the event, Delta College academic and student services programs will host informational tables and conduct presentations in Danner Hall. Open houses will take place throughout the campus.  Guests will be provided with an event map, including open house locations, SUSD Specialty School information, and descriptions of participating Delta programs.
