SJDC@Galt Finacial Aid/CA Dream Act Application Day – December 6 SJDC@Galt – Estrellita High School, 12935 Marengo Road, Galt

(Galt, CA) SJDC@Galt will present a Financial Aid and CA Dream Act Application Day, on Wednesday, December 6^th, from 11:30 am – 8:00 pm. This workshop will take place at SJDC@Galt – Estrellita High School, 12935 Marengo Road, Galt, Classroom 7.

 

For the first time, SJDC@Galt will dedicate an entire day to Financial Aid for students. Jonathan Miranda, Delta’s Senior Financial Aid Outreach Specialist, will be in Galt to help students apply for the 2018–19 FAFSA or CA Dream Act.  Mr. Miranda will be available to answer any Financial Aid questions.

 

Students who wish to complete their 2018–19 FAFSA or CA Dream Act application will need to bring the following:

• Driver's license
• Social Security Card or Number (if applicable)
• Alien registration number, if you are not a U.S. citizen
• Student 2016 income information
• Parent 2016 income information (if dependent)
• Student & parents' taxes/tax information. Previous year taxes are OK if they don't have 2016 tax info

Attendees will also need to bring any records of untaxed income such as welfare benefits, social security benefits, or child support payments.

“If the student/parent doesn’t have every one of these documents it’s okay,” explains Jonathan Miranda. “Students can bring the documents that they do have from the list provided.”

 

Event Schedule

 

12:00–12:30 pm: General Financial Aid Presentation

12:30–2:30 pm & 4:30–8:00 pm: Assist students to complete their 2018-19 FAFSA or CA Dream Act application; answer any questions regarding their 2017-18 financial aid file.
