Delta College hosts College Night 2017 Tuesday, August 29

(Stockton, CA) San Joaquin Delta College will host the annual College Night program on Tuesday, August 29, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.  This annual event will feature the popular informational session, “Discover the Delta College Transfer Advantage” in Atherton Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. 

“Students will learn how to complete their first two years at Delta College, which allows more time for students to explore majors and careers,” said Jazmin Amen, Director of Delta’s Career Transfer and Counseling Center.  “Students will save money by attending Delta first, and then transfer as a junior to the four-year college or university of their choice.” Amen emphasizes that the College Night will also cover financial aid and scholarship programs.

College Night provides the opportunity for high school students to meet with over 50 visiting four-year university representatives from CSU, UC, out-of-state and private/independent colleges and universities. This portion of the event will be held in the Marcopulos Gym.  A variety of exciting Delta College programs and services will be on display. Students will learn about the diverse range of resources Delta College has to offer in support of their career goals.

“High school seniors and their families are encouraged to attend College Night as they plan for future academic success,” explains Jazmin Amen. “College Night is an evening where students can explore their major and discover rewarding career opportunities!”
