(Stockton, CA) Delta College’s Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC) has released its Measure L Bond 2014-15 Annual Report. The COC is responsible for reviewing expenditures related to the College’s $250-million Measure L general obligation bond, which was approved by voters on March 2, 2004.

The Citizens’ Oversight Committee consists of at least seven members with specific membership categories (e.g., enrolled student, business community representative, taxpayers association representative, etc.). Committee members must reside in the San Joaquin Delta Community College District, be 18 years or older, and may not be an employee, vendor, contractor or consultant for the District.

Committee responsibilities include: reviewing quarterly expenditure reports produced by the District; informing the public concerning the District’s expenditure of bond proceeds, and presenting an annual report to the Board of Trustees.

Citizens' Oversight Committee Members Needed!

The District is seeking two new Measure L Citizens’ Oversight Committee members: One Student Representative, and one community member who will serve as an At-Large representative. Those interested in serving are encouraged to complete and submit a membership application no later than 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in the Office of the Vice President of Operations, San Joaquin Delta Community College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Forum 201,
Stockton, CA 95207.

The application is available for download in both PDF and MS Word formats from the Become a COC Member link on Delta College's COC webpage.

After review of the applications, the two candidate selections will be brought to the Board of Trustees for approval at its regularly scheduled meeting on August 16, 2016. The next meeting of the Measure L Citizens’ Oversight Committee is scheduled for August 18, 2016. Approved members will start their term of service at that time.
