Delta College Fashion Program Presents:
Nearly New Sale - April 8 - Danner Hall
Great Deals for a Steal!
(Stockton, CA) This is not your ordinary sale! The Nearly New Sale features mostly brand new merchandise at bargain-basement prices! Shoppers from around the Stockton, Tracy, Lodi and Sacramento come to a unique retail space for brand new or nearly new clothing, shoes, accessories, skin care, home and holiday décor starting at just $1!
The sale is set for Friday, April 8, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Danner Hall.
Customers will get their hands on brand-new and nearly new apparel at "garage sale" prices from name brands like William Rast, Calvin Klein, UGG, Coach, Guess, TSD, Michael Stars, Betsey Johnson, GAP, BCBG MaxAzria, and more! The inventory includes apparel for men, women, kids, prom & formal dresses, shoes, accessories (scarves, wallets, handbags), gift items, new cosmetics & skin care. Home goods and home décor includes: picture frames, framed art, dishes and serving items, holiday and outdoor décor, candles...and we're just getting started!
All of the inventory is donated from local and high-end regional retailers and manufacturers in the apparel and home industry, as well as private donors who support the Delta Fashion Program. Many items still have new tags attached with prices starting at $1! Amazing deals!
Delta Fashion students plan the event from start to finish. They create a marketing plan and seek out donations on behalf of Delta’s Fashion Program from local and out-of-town boutiques, manufacturers, and retailers. This is truly a showcase of the students’ learned skills and passion for the program. They have to source the merchandise, price it, display, and sell it…everything they will do in the merchandising trade.
Fashion Program Director, Leslie Asfour says, “The Nearly New Sale experience for fashion students is invaluable. It’s a real-world application of everything they have learned. The funds directly benefit Delta's Fashion Program, and support activities like our New York fashion industry tours. It’s a win-win for customers and students!”
Fashion Merchandising student, Aaron Mendoza, explains, “The Nearly New Sale is probably the best hands-on experience a student can get! This will be my 3rd sale. We put a lot of hard work into this event and are presented with different challenges at each sale. It’s been a pleasure ‘problem solving’ with Leslie Asfour and fellow students.” Aaron adds, “I’ve also done my fair share of shopping and the prices cannot be beat! Come early, there is usually a line!”
The monies raised will also benefit the Fashion Foundation, which provides field trips, fashion industry events and financial support for the annual fashion show, A Story of Fashion (Designer Collections Fashion Show), slated for Friday, May 13th. A Story of Fashion showcases student work in apparel design, fashion merchandising, event production, marketing, illustration, and a variety of courses offered by Delta's Fashion Program.
The sale is FREE and open to the public!
