Delta College Standout Michelle Cozad
Selected to Community College Basketball Hall of Fame
Class of 2015!

Delta College congratulates Michelle Cozad, former Delta Basketball standout (2001-2003) for her induction into the California Community College Women’s Basketball Coaches Association
Hall of Fame, Class of 2015.
Michelle has been a member of championship teams at every level of competition. Her numerous community college basketball honors include: Bay Valley Conference MVP in 2002 and 2003; 1st Team All-State Honors in both 2002-2003.
In addition to holding Delta's single game scoring record (44 points), season record (19.5 ppg/606 points) and career (1,328 points), Michelle holds the Delta College record for highest free throw percentage in one season, 84.6%.
As a transfer student to Santa Clara University, Michelle virtually duplicated her community college success at the Division I level. Michelle helped lead the Broncos to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2005. Michelle finished up her Santa Clara athletic career as West Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2006.
Not forgotten is Michelle’s career at St. Mary’s High (Stockton). Honors include a CIF State Championship in 2000, and All-Area Player of the Year in 2001.
Michelle was an assistant coach at San Joaquin Delta College in 2007-08 under Gina Johnson before beginning her career in Social Services as a Program Coordinator for adults with disabilities.
