"In Hell's Heart" Documentary

In conjunction with Stockton Sister Cities Association-Parma Italy Projects, the SJDC Cultural Awareness Program is pleased to announce that Italian Film Director Marco Speroni will visit Delta College’s North Forum on Thursday, March 6, 12:30 p.m. to present his moving “Docfiction”
In Hell’s Heart. Following the film, Mr. Speroni will take audience questions.
This event is FREE to the public.
Shot in the Republic of Congo, In Hell’s Heart tells the story of Marchello, a Belgian doctor who returns to the Congo for the first time in 15 years. After years of medical missions in the most brutal places on the planet, Marchello experiences a painful personal crisis on his return to the Congo.
Producer, writer & director Marco Speroni started out as a painter. From 1985 - 1995, he directed many art & cultural documentaries with his own company, Officinema Productions, based in Parma, Italy. Since 1995, Speroni has worked as a producer, writer and director for short and feature films. In 1998 he moved to Rome. Since 2000, he has collaborated with Italian Networks such as Rai and Sky. In 2011, Marco Speroni produced and directed the powerful “Docfiction” In Hell’s Heart.
