The Spring Fling Mixer is a major project
for students of Delta's Culinary Arts Restaurant Operations and Baking &
Pastry classes. These courses work in conjunction each semester to operate the
campus restaurant “Student Chef” and “Artisan Bakery”.
In order to provide Delta
students with experiences outside of their restaurant and bakery operations, each
semester a “special event" is created. These culinary presentations allow
students to create, plan, promote, decorate, serve and execute a large scale
banquet function. The Spring Fling Culinary Mixer is similar to Delta's Winter Buffet (held
each December) featuring interactive cooking stations.
Those who attend the Spring Fling will have the
opportunity to enjoy savory and sweet culinary creations by Delta student
chefs. Teams will design and decorate their own stations, creating distinctive
appetizers for you to enjoy. Local wines will be available for tasting, paired
aptly with station culinary presentations.
Local vintners pouring wine, music, a raffle and silent auction will be featured. Don’t miss this fun, delectable
