San Joaquin Delta College Removed from Accreditation Warning
(Stockton)
San Joaquin Delta College was informed by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) that it took action to “remove ‘Warning’ and reaffirm accreditation.” The decision was made after considering Delta College’s March 27, 2012 Follow-Up Report, and the Accreditation Site Visit Team’s Follow-Up Evaluation Report of April 20, 2012.
Acting Superintendent/ President, Dr. Kathleen Hart, was elated by the positive result. “I thank our staff for all their hard work on Delta’s Follow-Up Report. Of course, this is the outcome we were all hoping for, but clearly the college knows it has more work to do.”
Delta College management and staff moved aggressively to work toward and achieve specific recommendations of the ACCJC, including:
Dr. Hart explains that even with the good news from the ACCJC there is no time to rest. “Now the college can focus on preparing our next comprehensive self evaluation, which is due in spring of 2014.”
