In celebration of Asian History Month (May1 – 31), Delta College's Cultural Awareness Programs (CAP) will present, Night of China: Fusion of Performing Arts from China's Inner Mongolia and Hollywood on Saturday, May 5, 7 p.m. at Delta's Atherton Auditorium.
As part of the world cultural exchange program, this dazzling performance is organized by the Universal Culture Heritage Development Foundation. The Foundation is sponsoring unique cultural performance tours in ten cities throughout the United States, including Las Vegas, New York City, Washington D.C., and seven California cities.
“Night of China” is an exciting and eclectic show of performers. The Wulanmuqi Performing Arts Troupe, 28 artists representing China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and 16 American artists from the Hollywood Song and Dance Troupe will “fuse” together for a unique, amazing show not to be missed! It promises to be a fun evening for the whole family.
“Night of China” is also a fund-raising event for Delta’s Cultural Awareness Programs. These funds will act as “seed money” for next year's multicultural community events. Tickets range from $10 - $50 and can be purchased at Delta’s Center for the Arts Box Office, (209) 954-5110.
