Delta Board Reaches Tentative Agreement to Release Dr. Jeff Marsee

During a special February 24 closed session meeting, San Joaquin Delta College’s Board of Trustees reached a tentative agreement with Dr. Jeff Marsee to end his employment relationship with the college.
During the reconvened public session, Delta College legal counsel Daniel Schroeder announced that the tentative settlement is subject to a final written agreement, which will be the subject of a special Board of Trustees closed session meeting scheduled for Friday, March 2..
Schroeder also announced that Board President Janet Rivera was not present during the closed session, sighting a possible conflict of interest. In addition, immediately after the trustees adjourned into closed session, Trustee Mary Ann Cox concluded she might have a potential conflict of interest and immediately recused herself. She was not present during the closed session discussions.
Dr. Jeff Marsee was hired as Delta’s Superintendent/President on May 1, 2011. Dr. Kathleen Hart is currently Delta’s Acting Superintendent/President.
