               Superintendent/President Jeff Marsee Placed on Administrative Leave

During a special February 2 closed session meeting, San Joaquin Delta College’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously, 7 – 0, to place Superintendent/President Dr. Jeff Marsee on paid administrative leave. The leave is effective immediately until further board action. The February 2 special meeting was a continuation of the board’s closed session meeting of Tuesday, January 31.

During the reconvened public session, Delta College legal counsel Daniel Schroeder also announced that no reportable action was taken on the meeting’s Superintendent/President Pubic Employee Performance Evaluation agenda item. Dr. Marsee was hired as Delta’s Superintendent/President on May 1, 2011.

Schroeder stated that in accordance with college policy, Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instructional Services, Dr. Kathleen Hart, will become Delta’s Acting Superintendent/President until further notice.
