                               Delta College Annual DREAM Symposium - Nov. 5

Delta’s 4^thAnnual "DREAM Symposium”  will be held on Monday, November 5, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., in Danner Hall at San Joaquin Delta College, Stockton.

Delta’s "DREAM Symposium” is designed to raise awareness about California's AB 540 law, passed on October 12, 2001 by Governor Gray Davis. The bill allows undocumented students who meet specific requirements to pay in-state tuition instead of out-of-state tuition in California's higher institutions, such as the University of California, California State Universities and California Community Colleges.

The symposium will disseminate information about the college process for DREAM students, which varies at different institutions. Representatives from Community College, California State University (CSU), University of California (UC) & Private Schools will be available to provide information and answer questions. In addition, Delta’s Financial Aid Outreach staff will provide updates on the California DREAM Act.

College Connections for DREAMers will start at 5:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity for participants to meet and talk to representatives individually. The full program will start at 6:00 p.m.

The DREAM Symposium is designed for high school DREAM students, Community College DREAM Students, families and educators. All are welcome, no RSVP required!
