Susan Eggman Keynotes "National Coming Out Day" Oct. 11

San Joaquin Delta College will celebrate "National Coming Out Day," Tue., Oct. 11, from 12:30-1:30 at Delta's Tillie Lewis Theater. This Cultural Awareness Programs (CAP) and Delta PRIDE event is free to the public. National Coming Out Day is an internationally observed civil awareness day for "coming out" and discussion about gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people.
Stockton City Councilwoman Susan Eggman will be the keynote speaker and will share her life experiences as a lesbian, veteran, Latina and politician. She will also address some of the legal issues that are still facing the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community. After the presentation, there will be a brief Q & A session.
