“Better Future Fair” at Delta College, January 6
“New Year…New You… New Resolution!”
Such is the goal of Delta College’s Associated Student Body Government (ASBG) as they host the
Better Future Fair, on the campus of Delta College, January 6.
This all-day event will include a Health Fair from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in Danner Hall. Local organizations will focus on providing low cost health care and health services information to attendees, in addition to “wellness” opportunities.
Workshops are scheduled in Danner Hall from 1 - 2:30 p.m. These informative presentations will focus on finances, “spiritual well-being,” and conflict management.
One of the day’s highlights includes the “Celebrity Panel” staring at 3:30 p.m. in the Tillie Lewis Theater. Successful Stockton residents will recount their engaging stories through valuable “life experience” advice.
The day’s activities will conclude with an impressive and inspiring play, Dam/aged, at 6 p.m. in Atherton Auditorium. Dam/aged is a story about dysfunctional families, domestic violence, and the never-ending hope to survive and realize a better place in life. Delta’s ASBG recommends that families with high school age young adults attend this enlightening presentation. Dam/aged will also be presented on January 7 at 6 p.m.
Tickets for Dam/aged are $5, and may be purchased at the Delta College Box Office,
(209) 953-5110, and online: http://www.deltacollege.edu/div/finearts/dept/dca/calendar.html.
Tickets are also available from Delta’s ASBG members. Please contact ASBG President Nicholas Aguirre for tickets, and further “Better Future Fair” information at:
