           Delta College Student/Athlete, Watta Tarmoh, wins "American Idol" audition!

San Joaquin Delta College congratulates student/athelete Watta Tarmoh, 19, for winning the Fox 40 Northern California "American Idol" competition, held at Stockton's Bob Hope Theater, June 29. Hundreds of contestants filled the theater, but Watta's rendition of "One Night Only" from the musical "Dreamgirls" launched her into next week's eventual televised Idol auditions in San Diego, July 8. Watta declairs, “I’m ready to ‘go for it’  and make my dreams come true!”
