Delta College “New Student Welcome Day” slated for Tuesday, August 10th

Welcome new and re-entry students! San Joaquin Delta College will host its 5th Annual New Student Welcome Day on Tuesday, August 10th from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. This is a FREE event. No pre-registration required.

Always a popular event, first time Delta College and re-entry students are invited to learn more about campus resources and services, take campus tours, purchase student ID’s, textbooks, parking permits and secure a locker. Students may also participate in a Community Resource Fair in Upper Danner Hall.

Interested in transferring to a University of California or California State University? Welcome Day participants will have the opportunity to discuss transfer requirements with UC/CSU representatives at the West Forum and Upper Danner Hall.

Get ready for your Delta College education and have fun while you’re at it! Free food will be provided thanks to generous donors. All participants will have the opportunity to participate in a “Welcome Day” raffle. The Grand Prize will be a 16GB  iPod Nano!

Event Highlights:

• 10:00 a.m.   Check-in and receive information packet-Delta Quad
• 10:30 a.m.   Welcome Session, Student Services Presentation-West Forum
• 11:30 a.m.   Associate Degree/Certificate Program Informational Session, presented by                    Division Deans. Get your career off on the right foot! West Forum
• 12:30 p.m.   UC/CSU- Are you are interested in Transferring? Here’s what you need to                    know. Presented by UC/CSU Admissions Counselors-West Forum
• 10:00 a.m.   Community Resource Fair: Delta College/Community Services Info
  2:00   p.m.   Booths-Upper Danner Hall
