Delta College Trustees Appoint Taj M. Khan, Provisional Trustee for

Area 4, Lodi

(Stockton, CA)

After receiving the required four vote majority, Delta College’s Board of Trustees, appointed Taj M. Khan, 65, to fill the Area 4 Lodi seat, vacated by Maria Elena Serna.

Mr. Khan is a longtime Lodi resident, retired engineer and community activist. He interviewed for the position along with 10 other candidates at Delta’s Tillie Lewis Theatre on January 14th and 15th. Taj M. Khan’s candidate interview video may be viewed online at: www.deltacollege.edu.

Mr. Khan will be sworn in at the board’s next regular meeting on Feb. 3rd. His term as Delta College Trustee for Area 4 will run till December, 2010. The public has 30 days to file a petition calling for a special election for the seat.

“I don’t have a secret agenda or laundry list of things I want to accomplish,” says Mr. Khan. “I just want to do a good job.”
