Delta College sets Facilities Master Plan Public Meetings for 2010

San Joaquin Delta College has finalized its Facilities Master Plan Public Meeting calendar for 2010. Input from these sessions will be used by the College and its facilities planners to design future facilities and renovations for existing spaces. Public input will help shape recommendations for how Delta College operates its facilities maintenance, landscaping principles, traffic/parking issues, and environmentally sustainable practices.

The Facilities Plan serves as a supplement to the College's Educational Master Plan, a long-range document that outlines how demographic, regional population, labor market needs and economic factors influence the College's educational and vocational offerings.

The Facilities Master Plan meetings provide an opportunity for the College to share its future educational plans with citizens in its district.  Members of the community will learn about specific programs planned for various College centers.

says, “The forums give us a chance to hear what kinds of learning spaces and facilities the community would like to see at our main campus and regional centers. We need to make sure the community has a voice in the kinds of classrooms and learning labs they would like to see." Dr. Wetstein feels the meetings are an excellent way for residents of Delta’s district to, “recognize we’re on the right track with our academic/vocational programs, and curriculum we hope to offer in the future.”
