Delta College Associated Student Body Government to host Environmental Summit

(Stockton, CA)

Stockton Mayor Ann Johnston, Congressman Jerry McNerney, former Senator Michael Machado and other community leaders will join with local businesses and the Associated Student Body Government (ASBG) of San Joaquin Delta College to host an Environmental Summit on Saturday April 18th, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The event which will be held at San Joaquin Delta College’s West Forum will bring together local and regional experts in such critical areas as green jobs, environmental volunteerism, alternative transportation and a host of other environmental topics.

Participants can expect to learn about efforts underway by local and regional government, businesses and other organizations to transition to a cleaner and more environmentally friendly future. In addition, the event will offer participants the opportunity to take part in interactive breakout sessions intended to both educate participants as well as to connect interested parties with green resources that are available throughout the region.
