Delta College Drama Presents: The Princess & The Pea

(Stockton)

Delta College Drama Department is presenting The Princess & The Pea in Tillie Lewis Theatre, Friday & Saturday, December 5 & 6, at 7pm; Thursday thru Saturday, December 11, 12, & 13, at 7pm, and Saturday, December 13, at 3pm.

Delta College Drama’s annual Children’s Theatre production is loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s popular story.  It is mixed with magic, charm, and just a hint of danger and is sure to be a crowd pleaser for our young and young at heart audiences.

The King and Queen are eager to find a bride for the young Prince Peter.  Time is running short.  A royal king and queen must always be on the throne or the surrounding countries will overrun the kingdom!

The problem is: how to tell a “real” princess from the frauds.  Only the Queen Mother knows the perfect way to test a true princess.  Prince Peter sets off, with his trusty friend by his side, to find a bride.  Along the way, he meets a colorful assortment of characters.  Will Prince Peter find a new bride in time?  And what is the Queen Mother’s secret test?  The only way to find out is to join the cast of The Princess & the Pea!
