Delta College Drama Presents “Fuddy Meers”

(Stockton)

Delta College Drama presents the play Fuddy Meers, Friday & Saturday, Oct. 10 & 11 at 8pm; Thursday thru Saturday, Oct. 16-18 at 8pm; and Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2pm. These performances will take place at Delta’s Tillie Lewis Theatre.

Due to mature language, this play is not recommended for anyone under 13 years of age.

Fuddy Meers tells the story of amnesiac Claire. Claire awakens each morning as a blank slate on which her husband and teenage son must imprint the facts of her life.

One morning, Claire is abducted by a limping, lisping man who claims her husband wants to kill her. The audience views the ensuing mayhem through the kaleidoscope of Claire’s world.  The play culminates in a cacophony of revelations, proving that everything is not what it appears to be.

Lauren Snyder is cast as Claire. The rest of the cast includes: Jacob Inman as Richard, Matt Spice as Kenny, Cheryl Long as Gertie, Jesse Michael as Limping Man, Jose Valle as Millett, and Tiyonia Echols as Heidi. This production is Lauren’s first Delta College production; all other cast members have appeared in previous Delta College productions.

Fuddy Meers is written by David Lindsay-Abaire, who won the Pulitzer Prize last year for his play Rabbit Hole. David Lindsay-Abaire also wrote the book and lyrics for, Shreck: The Musical, which is in pre-Broadway in Seattle.

Tickets for Fuddy Meers are $12.00 for Adult, $10.00 for Student & Senior. Please contact the Delta Center for the Arts Box Office for tickets. Box Office hours are: Tuesday thru Friday, 11am-6pm, Saturday, 11am-3pm, and 2 hours before performances.
