“Think Big” Caterpillar training instructor Dan Carter awaits his Mohawk haircut on May 15
Stockton
Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician instructor, Dan Carter, lost his bet. The diesel technology instructor for Delta’s “Think Big” Caterpillar Training Program will receive a stylish haircut, courtesy of his “Straight A” students.
No, this won’t be a flattop or the fashionable bald look. How about a “Road Warrior” motif? That’s right; Mr. Carter will receive a trendy Mohawk. This bold grooming statement will take place on Thursday, May 15th at 11 a.m. in Delta College’s quad area.
As Delta’s Caterpillar Training Program entered its fifth year, Carter bet his students if any “CAT” class received “Straight A’s,” he would let them shave his head. As you might suspect, sometimes you get what you ask for. This is the first time in five years any Caterpillar training class has received straight A’s.
Too bad for Dan…
Delta’s Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician Training Program is a 16 week course managed in partnership with heavy equipment manufacturer, Caterpillar. Delta is one of only 11 such programs in the United States, and 15 worldwide. The program was created to fill the high demand by Caterpillar for skilled service technicians. Job offers generally await graduates of Delta’s “Think Big” program.
