TWO DELTA COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOW DESIGNS AT S.F. FASION WEEK!

Emily Cowdrey and Natalie Minori, fashion students in San Joaquin Delta
College's Fashion Program presented their designs at San Francisco’s International Fashion Week in the “Little Black Dress Design” Collection.
Dresses came in all shapes and sizes as students from the Bay Area captured the elegance of the little black dress. This is only the third annual Emerging Stars fashion show in San Francisco. Students outdid themselves by designing styles that were as professional as any on the runway. Eighteen students created one dress each.
Emily Cowdrey, SJDC Fashion student, who sells clothes under the Mama
Cow label at Queen Mab's and Chartreuse Muse in Modesto, was featured in
Sunday's San Francisco Chronicle Style section for her participated in San Francisco's International Fashion Week. The paper ran a picture of her little black dress which was featured along with other student-created dresses at the show.
Emily participated in the Little Black Dress competition, along with 17 other students from various colleges. There were originally over 70 participants, but only 18 made it to the runway. The dresses were then auctioned. Emily's dress was one of the first to sell!
According to the San Francisco Chronicle Article, "Highlights this year included the "Little Black Dress" show, featuring 18 designs by fashion students. Great idea! The dresses were later auctioned off to benefit Bravo, the junior philanthropic arm of the San Francisco Opera. There were a handful of terrific runway shows by new designers that were focused and fun…"
